There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our North East Division is looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join the Division’s Sales team.
The Role
The role of Sales Manager reports to the Sales Director and is responsible for managing and overseeing the sales process on site to ensure that all targets and objectives are achieved in accordance with specified timescales and budgets whilst maximising profit through the effective management of the sales team.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
* Achieving sales budgets and targets for each development you are responsible for.
* Supporting, managing and motivating the sales team.
* Implementing sales inductions and providing continual training, coaching and support to aid the development of Sales Advisors and Senior Sales Advisors.
* Overseeing site presentation and ensuring that this is maintained to the correct standard at all times.
* Agreeing budgets for each show home with the Head of Sales and brief/liaise with interior designers accordingly.
* Proposing sales strategies to the Head of Sales for developments or plots as and when required.
* Ensuring that each development is fully staffed and holiday and sickness cover are managed appropriately.
* Ensuring that information is correct and plans are available in good time for commencement of the sales operation on each development.
* Working within financial parameters to maximise profit.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
* Experience of working as a Sales Manager for a high volume national housebuilder.
* Experience of leading and managing a team.
Qualifications and Training
* GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
Skills and Aptitude
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Works effectively to deadlines.
* Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
* Ability to work on own as well as part of a team.
* Committed to diversity and inclusion.
The Role and Working Conditions
* Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
* Ability to travel to all sales sites, including divisional offices.
* Able to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
