Innovate Summer Academy is offering an immersive academic summer program for pre-university students at University College London (UCL). This program offers intensive two-week courses, focused on equipping students with specialized knowledge and skills in their chosen academic fields.
We are looking for motivated Associate Lecturer/Lecturer or Adjunct Faculty to join our Academy for the Summer 2025 session. Each faculty member will play a vital role in guiding our student body through a curriculum designed to blend rigorous academic instruction with hands-on learning, and mentoring students in academic and professional skills.
We are currently recruiting faculty for the following subject areas for the 2025 summer program:
* Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
* Engineering and Science
* Law and Global Justice
Program Dates:
* 7 July – 18 July 2025
* 21 July – 1 August 2025
* 4 August – 15 August 2025
Location: University College London, Bloomsbury Campus
Length of contract: Fixed
* Deliver engaging instruction: Teach specialized modules within your faculty, including interactive workshops, lectures, and project-based learning.
* Mentorship and academic support: Provide one-on-one mentorship to assigned students, supporting their academic development, and fostering their professional skills.
* Course material development: Design and refine teaching materials and projects, ensuring alignment with industry trends and academic rigor.
* Industry and academic excursions: Lead students on faculty-specific excursions to companies, institutions, and universities, offering real-world insights related to their academic pursuits.
* Support holistic development: Integrate extracurricular and career development modules, such as guest lectures and academic skills workshops, to prepare students for future academic and career opportunities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Academic qualification at the post-graduate level or equivalent professional qualification in your discipline.
* Proven teaching experience with an emphasis on active, student-centered learning.
* Ability to customize instruction for a diverse, international student body.
* Experience or interest in project-based learning (PBL), academic skills development, or career-focused education.
* A supportive, creative, and collaborative approach to teaching.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
