As the QHSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining, implementing, and overseeing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) management strategies. Your expertise will enable the business to safely deliver high-quality projects and maintain exceptional operational standards. You will lead initiatives that promote best practices, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Provide go-to support for all quality, H&S and environmental matters across the business. Define and implement management approaches for Quality, H&S, and Environment, including sustainability policies and initiatives. Define, improve and monitor routine QHSE process, including the creation of a QMS and H&S and Environmental policies. Support Construction Project Managers and Operations team with QHSE assessment & monitoring of suppliers. Apply continuous improvement methodologies. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate standards. Plan & lead the accreditation and audits process for Quality, H&S and Environment standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001) as well as industry specific certifications. Conduct internal Quality and HSE auditing activities in person and using data. Embed an open and transparent culture centered on a ‘zero harm’ philosophy and quality of delivery. Work with managers to structure appropriate training and communication to ensure that all business activities are conducted in a safe and appropriate manner. Support risk assessment across the business to enable day-to-day activities as well as specific risk analyses to inform Design, Engineering, Construction and Operations activities & policies. Lead any required investigations into QHSE related incidents. Support business continuity and emergency planning. Collect and analyse and report on QHSE data.. Requirements A degree in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Management or a related discipline is desirable Relevant certifications and training in some of the following is essential: NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO standards, OSHA, Six Sigma, Lean Management. Experience of working with CDM regulation Previous responsibility for H&S and Environmental process in an energy context (High Voltage power infrastructure, flammable fuels, explosive environments Experience overseeing ISO accreditations and audits with UKAS and similar bodies
