Location Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Manchester, M32 0TH with Hybrid working.
Salary range Entry Level Band 6 SCP 23 with progression through the bands to Band 7 SCP 26-29, £33,366- £38,626 pa
Working Pattern Full Time,36.25 hours (Including unsocial hours/weekend work will be required on a rota system to meet the needs of the service)

About the Role
Are you an individual who is enthusiastic about ensuring compliance with a proactive approach in upholding licensing standards and maintaining public safety? We are looking for a dynamic Licensing Enforcement Officer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring business, premises and individuals adhere to licensing laws and regulations.
This is a proactive role where you will take the initiative in monitoring compliance, identifying potential issues before they arise, and working with businesses to uphold high standards. You will also have the authority to investigate breaches, take enforcement action where necessary and work closely with key stakeholders and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Candidates will be able to evidence a proven ability in fulfilling requirements of regulatory compliance with experience in reading, interpreting and applying legislation and supporting frameworks. The successful applicant will also be dedicated in ensuring continuous development.
The Licensing Enforcement Team are progressive, adaptable and consistent with our approach to ensuring compliance, and adaptive when it comes to enforcing breaches and holding those accountable for contraventions.

The role is based in the Town Hall with although a significant amount of time will be spent out of the office visiting areas in the borough as part of investigatory work.
You will be required to drive in this role.
The successful candidate will also be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the role.
About you
Qualifications & experience
* To have 5 GCSEs A-C including math’s and English
* Committed to continuous professional development.
* Have experience in a regulatory compliance role or environment
You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work independently, with the ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving issues but also as part of a wider team, building strong working relationships with people to enable achievement of the team’s objectives.
You will need to demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, together with an ability to prioritise a number of competing demands and have a flexible approach to shifting priorities. Exceptional record keeping and attention to detail are fundamental qualities required for this role.

You will hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own vehicle for work use, willing to travel to and work at different sites across the borough of Trafford.
