Description Wood is recruiting for a Planner in Aberdeen. This role will be based out of Sir Ian Wood House on a hybrid basis. The Wood decommissioning team provide project schedules and plans for a wide variety of clients who are either in the early stages of planning or actively executing work to decommission and remove assets including offshore platforms, subsea infrastructure & onshore facilities. This includes developing plans which consider the full work breakdown structure of decommissioning including Operator Project Management, Facility Running / Owner Costs, Well Abandonment, Facilities / Pipeline Make Safe, Topside Preparation, Topside / Substructure Removal, Onshore Recycling, Subsea Infrastructure, Site Remediation and Monitoring. Due to recent contract awards, additional planning resource is required to support the development of plans for the execution of Engineer Procure Remove & Disposal (EPRD) contract for the single lift removal of large topsides in the Northern North Sea UK waters. This will include the Preparation and submission of project schedules and plans, ensuring schedules and plans are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards. Supports the management and development of the Planning team, the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation. May act as the focal point for several project scopes. Responsibilities Develop and maintain planning control structures are developed and maintained in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software. Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements. Prepare and provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements. Prepare and provide copies of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements. Produce and issue updates to project plans and schedules Produce and issue updates to project manpower requirements Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance. Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedules. Participate in schedule risk analysis as required Participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews Assist and support in the mentoring of junior Planning personnel Responsible for delivering schedules and plans where; Project schedules are maintained in accordance with approved contract and project Work Breakdown Structure. Project plans and schedules are issued in accordance with contract reporting calendar and on an as required basis. All project schedules are fully logic linked and show the critical path and total float for all activities. The project schedule is baselined at the time of approval by the client of funding for the project. All project schedules contain resources in accordance with the corporate standards Work packs delivery milestones are clearly identified within the project schedules. A standard set of agreed milestones are maintained within both the schedule and the cost reporting database.
