We have an exciting opportunity to join the Falkirk Health Improvement Service as a Senior Health Promotion Officer.
This generic role will build health improvement capability and capacity and facilitate the implementation of a specific strength based portfolio of work, delivering on a broad range of work programmes associated with the Falkirk Health Improvement Service.
The postholder will contribute to the strategic support, leadership and line management of the service and facilitate delivery of action on early intervention and prevention as part of the transformation agenda, whilst ensuring that the health improvement contribution to Community Planning and the Public Health Priorities maximise outcomes sought by Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership., Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of current health improvement policy and how it translates operationally as well as having excellent project and people management skills. In addition, experience of partnership working, outcome driven programmes and workforce development are essential. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential.
The successful candidate will hold a first degree as well as a post graduate Masters qualification in Public Health/Health Promotion or equivalent, and have significant experience in a health improvement field.
