Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home - Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £14 per hour, plus £50 per sleep in shift (£33,000 average per annum)
Welcome Bonus: £ 800 bonus paid after successfully completing your probationary period.

Haven Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Management team within a Children’s Residential Home in the Chellaston area of Derby. This role is full time, with a requirement to work shifts on a 1 day on 2 day off pattern, and to carry out between 6-8 sleep in shifts every month.

To be successful as a Deputy Manager with HCG, you will need to possess the following essential attributes:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a Residential Child Care setting.
* A Certified Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.
* Experience in leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence
* Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight
As a Deputy Manager you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:
* To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
* To assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
* To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. To offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
* Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
* Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model.
* Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
* Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
* Chairing children’s meetings and facilitating consultation with young people generally
