Purpose of the Role:
To arrange a full and engaging annual programme of CPD for WCP. CPD includes day and half-day workshops, ongoing reading and discussion groups, and short courses. Ensure that the CPD programme is delivered within WCP budgetary expectations and is available to WCP trainees, staff, WCP postgraduate members, and, where appropriate, to external participants.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that WCP delivers a minimum of two CPD day- or half-day events each term.
2. Liaise with the Chair of the Training Executive, the Training Executive, the Postgraduate Group, and WCP trainees to ensure that the programme provides learning and development opportunities that are appropriate for a psychodynamic training organisation and BPC MI.
3. Liaise with the Training Coordinator to ensure wide marketing of the CPD events and to maintain a GDPR-compliant mailing list.
4. Agree speaker fees and attendance fees with the Chair of the Training Executive to ensure that the CPD Programme is delivered within WCP budgetary targets.
5. Agree contractual terms with speakers and document them in a Speaker’s Agreement.
6. Liaise with the Training Coordinator and other staff to ensure full payment by delegates, and to issue CPD certificates.
7. Liaise with the Training Coordinator and other staff to ensure that events are hosted, that delegates have joining instructions and other related material, and that materials and facilities required by speakers are provided.
8. Attend WCP meetings including:
• Training Executive development meetings (approximately, one per term, or as required)
• Regular 1:2:1 meetings with the Chair of the Training Executive
• Attend Foundation and Diploma (and PDP when relaunched) team meetings in rotation: one meeting per half-term.
