Our client, a public sector housing organisation, is seeking a talented Project Manager to join their team. This is a temporary position with a daily rate starting from 350. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our client's house building programme, with a focus on social housing, regeneration, redevelopment, and the construction of new–build projects.
Responsibilities:
* Project management of the delivery of construction of the Council's house building programme.
* Represent our client as the lead representative and key project manager for each contract, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivering high–quality results.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key external partners, designers, contractors, developers, and land agents to construct new affordable housing.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as housing, sales, finance, and asset management to assimilate new affordable housing schemes into the wider Council housing stock.
* Partner with multi–disciplinary teams, including the development team and design lead, to ensure the buildability of projects and mitigate potential maintenance issues.
* Monitor and report consistently on works progress to senior management and other members of the Housing Delivery Team.
* Engage with the Housing Delivery Team and Regeneration to understand business needs and contribute to the development and implementation of service area plans.
* Ensure compliance with the councils policies and the highest health and safety procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
* Implement project monitoring and sign–off procedures to drive continuous improvement in final build outcomes.
Requirements:
Strong project management experience in construction, ideally within the public sector or social housing industry.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners.
Adept at collaborating with cross–functional teams and internal stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of construction contracts, compliance, and relevant legal requirements.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures and the ability to identify and address potential risks.
Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast–paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays as required.
