Financial Planning Analyst
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Working Hours: Monday–Friday 0900-17:30
The Role:
Reporting to the FP&A Manager and working closely with colleagues across the business, you will play a vital role in the financial planning team, developing annual budgets and forecasts, and rolling weekly cashflow forecasting.
* Build, enhance and maintain Riviera’s strategic forecasting, annual budgeting & reforecasting and weekly rolling cashflow forecasting models.
* Learn and become proficient in the Anaplan planning application.
* Ownership of the FX model outputs liaising with Accounts Payable and Commercial Finance to help effectively manage the foreign currency purchasing requirements of the business.
* Working closely with the Core Finance team to provide meaningful insight into monthly results, including variance analysis.
* Supporting in the delivery of meaningful financial analysis across a wide range of operational areas, providing key insight into performance, and supporting decision-making within the business.
* Business partnering with key internal stakeholders across the Senior Leadership Team providing support where required.
* Support the Technology and Change team on large new project engagements and support the build out of financial budgets and cashflows, providing robust challenge as part of the process.
* Refine and improve existing processes and challenge outputs to create relevant, value-adding analysis for use by the business.
About You:
* Part qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
* Experience in a FP&A or Commercial Finance role would be ideal.
* Strong Excel skills, including data analysis (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, index match).
* Financial modelling experience, including cashflow forecasting would be ideal but not essential.
* Commercially focused with attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to “think outside the box”.
* Effectively challenges the status quo and looks for improvements.
* Self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, and resilience to succeed in a fast paced and challenging environment.
