We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our Change & Transformation Practice as a Payments Project Manager, delivering a range of Payments transformation projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Payments Project Manager, where they will be responsible for delivering wholesale change for a multinational Investment Bank.
The successful consultant will need to have experience with SWIFT, ISO 20022, and SEPA who can work alongside clients to perform various activities from gap analysis & translation, project delivery, and support business benefit cases to what clients should be doing with the enhanced data.
The role:
1. Project Management throughout the full project lifecycle including definition of problem statement, creation and execution of test plans, and ensuring business readiness for implementation.
2. You will maintain and take ownership of the product backlog and the delivery of new functional and non-functional requirements, managing deliverables/outcomes in sufficient detail for the development teams, test teams, and 3rd party service providers to deliver the solutions to time, expectation, and budget.
3. Analysis of correspondent banking and domestic/cross border payment messaging (including but not limited to SWIFT MT/pacs/camt, SEPA, Faster Payments, ISO 20022, CBPR, HVPS).
4. Collaborate with product specialists and various application delivery teams to deliver solutions that fully integrate with existing IT systems and solve complex business problems.
5. Ensure all agreed outputs and decisions are documented in the agreed tools, throughout the project lifecycle, from initial capture through various stages of refinement and through to delivery.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Good understanding of correspondent banking and domestic/cross border payment messaging (including but not limited to SWIFT MT/pacs/camt, SEPA, Faster Payments, ISO 20022, CBPR, HVPS).
2. Demonstrable experience as a hands-on Project Manager within payments engagements, alongside sound and relevant knowledge across the payments domain, including non-technical and technical responsibilities.
3. Proven track record of success leading multiple projects and change management initiatives in a fast-paced and complex environment including liaising with external third party companies as necessary.
4. Demonstrable payment processing and clearing knowledge especially data mapping and modelling to support triaging issues raised in development and production.
5. Ability to breakdown and convey complex information to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
6. Sound reporting skills including activity reports and compiling document release notes for stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with EU and Global payments regulations and curiosity in emerging technologies.
8. Resilient to change, adapting to and supporting new situations with confidence.
9. Collaborative team player who can ensure deadlines are met and scope is adhered to by the team.
10. Proficient at building relationships at all levels and influencing a range of senior stakeholders confidently, challenging decision making to help drive continuous innovative improvements.
