Home to work that matters, and you can be a part of it.Job summary/PurposeBe responsible for the preparation, submission and management of planning applications to deliver the highestquality designs and most commercially viable solutions for the North East Business.Work with Local and Regional Stakeholders to engage in a range of planning processes.The Senior Planning Executive must offer advanced Town and Country Planning knowledge and experiencebut also in addition possess the mentoring skills to aid the Design and Planning Manager with the retentionand development of the Design team.Primary ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & EnvironmentImplement CDM/EMS, identifying foreseeable risk in designs and taking action to design risk out, in line withcompany policy.Fully understand the CDM/EMS regulations and demonstrate a working knowledge of how these should be incorporated into designs.Maintain a good understanding of environmental/ecological constraints to development and ensure that appropriate mitigation is undertaken to allow development to proceed in line with the Regional Programme.Support the Design team on all aspects of implementation on CDM/EMS processes and procedures.Planning & Community EngagementManage community engagement consultations to support planning applications.Manage planning applications, co-ordinate with a range of consultants and other teams to deliver accurate designs and approvals from inception to completion, including all supporting document in line Operational Framework guidance, internal documents, and good practice.Responsible for evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities to purchase new sites.Manage and drive planning Section agreements, identifying the commercial impact and negotiating commercially viable contributions with authorities.Responsible for clearing all planning conditions in response to programme.Input into house type design feedback forum.Ensure the design of schemes is compliant with all external requirements (Building Regs, TW Technical Bulletins, Water Authority, Highway Authority, NHBC etc).Input into LEADR/ Site Specific Environmental Action Plans / CDM / Health and Safety / Environmental issues.Work with the project team to add value and secure the best planning consent and Design and placemaking solution for the company.Attend internal and external team meetings as required to assist in the preparation of information for planning submission.Arrange for the preparation of all working drawing requirements –residential and non-residential uses - and supporting information for issue to Commercial Department for tendering purposes in line with agreed Programme, utilising external consultants where appropriate.Be part of the Design team on all aspects of implementation on Land, Planning and CommunityEngagement.Liaise with Local and Regional Stakeholders in a range of planning processes.Experience, Qualifications, Technical RequirementsBe a member or eligible for Full Membership of the the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)Degree level qualification in a relevant fieldPrevious experience in the housebuilding sectorCapable of preparing and managing a number of planning applicationsComputer literate with knowledge of AutocadWhat we offer at Taylor WimpeyAt Taylor Wimpey, we are committed to enabling you to make a home with us.
