Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including development and execution of commercial strategies to grow our business and expand our footprint. Achieve agreed revenue targets that incorporate conversion of prospects into clients, and uplift from increased usage and the sale of additional solutions. Identify and qualify new clients based on company guidelines. Achieve agreed activity targets that focus on regular proactive engagement with prospects and clients in line with a structured plan. Identify and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities that maximises the breadth of Iress product stack to achieve sales targets and deliver value for clients. Research, map and qualify prospects, identifying key players and generating interest. Work with segment leaders to develop and execute a sales strategy for the regions. Work closely with prospects and clients to understand their overall strategy, challenges and priorities and what solutions can be delivered. Identify cross sell opportunities from the suite of Iress software and support the client management team to execute on organic growth opportunities. Capable of representing Iress singularly and introducing specialists to solve complex client problems as required. Follows a consistent approach to sales to ensure adequate and efficient briefing of new opportunities. Produce winning proposals, RFIs, pitches, presentations, and product demonstrations. Attend relevant industry networking events, build a strong professional presence and be seen as the partner of choice, and industry and subject matter expert, in the identified business development area. Stay updated on trends in global financial markets, trading technology, and regulatory changes affecting the trading and market data sector. Engage proactively with the communications and marketing team to promote and communicate the business development narrative before, during and after market deployment. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure clients are being serviced to the highest possible standard. Maintain, update and use global CRM with accuracy and timeliness, and record all strategic client and prospect interactions. Responsible for drafting, modifying and finalizing contracts, including new and add-on business. What you will bring: Experience with Trading/Connectivity vendors/ products (ION Fidessa, Broadridge, ULLINK, NYFIX Flextrade, Autex etc.), exchanges, and alternative sources. Proven track record of delivering against sales targets, driving revenue growth and developing client relationships. Strategic, commercial and able to contribute to broader business conversations. A natural networker and strategic relationship builder - internally and externally. Experienced with working cross-functionally to bring about the right results for clients. Able to communicate in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner. The ability to engender quality across teams including in client communications and presentations. A modern thinker who looks to the future while ensuring commercial and strategic outcomes are achieved in the present. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Excellent analytical skills to evaluate the client, competitors, industry landscapes and make recommendations to drive profitability and gain market share. Deep understanding and knowledge of Industry practices, business environment and technology requirements. Detailed knowledge of the key business drivers for Financial Services companies.
