We are looking for a talented individual to join us within our Planning team. We are responsible for ensuring that all new development within the Borough is sustainable and of high quality. The team has a history of performing to the highest standards, and always finds themselves in the top echelons of planning performance tables in the East Midlands.
This Principal Development Control Officer post is a new role and will undertake an array of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
1. Assisting the Planning Policy and Development Manager and existing Principal Development Control Officer in managing staff;
2. Acting as Case Officer in managing a range of planning applications, including major and more complex planning applications;
3. Providing professional “sign off” to the work of the Team.
If you have an extensive knowledge of planning matters, including procedures, legislation, best practice, national policy and legislation; you are able to communicate confidently at different levels; you have vast experience of working within a Development Control environment; and you have experience of managing staff, we would love to hear from you.
