Planning Enforcement Officer needed in Stoke on Trent Paying £40per hr Ref 5260073 Full time hrs on a temporary basis Role Purpose: Provide professional planning guidance and recommend decisions on planning applications and enforcement matters, focusing on delivering the objectives of the Enforcement Team. Key Responsibilities: Provide advice on enforcement and planning law, policy, and guidance. Appraise and recommend decisions on formal applications and enforcement complaints. Undertake necessary enforcement actions, such as serving Notices and Injunctions. Contribute to the design and delivery of sustainable site and area-based regeneration priorities. Deliver programmes of monitoring, research, or investigation to support planning and enforcement decisions. Act as a professional witness in planning and enforcement matters, including preparing and giving evidence at inquiries, hearings, examinations, or courts. Validate planning applications and present reports to committees and other meetings. Support the duty system and write published planning advice and information. Monitor planning conditions, planning obligations, and development progress. Provide practical advice to businesses on planning and related services. Identify opportunities for investment in regeneration projects. Maintain a proactive and collaborative approach to work quality. Undertake any other duties as required by the senior management team.
