Job Description: Experienced Manager/Team Lead in e-discovery and document review sought for a global law firm. Manage large Financial Services regulatory matters, oversee multiple workstreams, and lead a team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of complex legal projects.
* Strong background in project management, preferably in Financial Services regulatory matters, with experience managing teams and delivering large-scale legal projects.
* Proven ability to manage large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of legal professionals and contractors.
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Experience managing contractors and fee earners in a legal environment.
* Experience with Financial Services regulatory projects and remediation programs.
* Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with legal project management tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and Manage FS Regulatory Matters: Take ownership of a financial services regulatory matter for a single client, managing 5 active workstreams and ensuring smooth progress across all areas.
* Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure tasks are completed within budget and deadlines.
* Team Leadership: Supervise a team of legal professionals, including fee earners, junior staff, and contractors, providing guidance, answering queries, and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
* Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all work outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness before moving to the next phase of the project.
* Client Communication: Provide daily updates to management and communicate project status to the client, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines.
* Documentation Oversight: Ensure that all documentation is complete, clear, and properly filed before advancing to subsequent stages of the project.
* Contractor Management: Effectively manage contractors across the project, ensuring their work aligns with overall project goals and timelines.
