The Scientist Role
This role provides analytical support to our global MS&T function, emphasizing various techniques such as LCs, GCs, ICP-MS, and LC-MS. Responsibilities include providing analytical support to an existing Jazz commercial product, conducting analytical investigations (including unknown impurities analysis), and improving test methods.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide analytical support to the MS&T analytical team using LC, GC, ICP, MS, and NIR systems and other techniques as deemed required.
* Support analytical investigations for all existing Jazz commercial products using various analytical techniques within the laboratory.
* Improve existing analytical methods and develop new methods to support test method life cycle management.
* Presentation of work to the team and writing scientific reports as required.
* Review and check completed ARFs, and any other research data.
* Maintain cGXP and H&S knowledge applicable to the job.
* Stay up-to-date with industry guidelines and relevant updates.
Required Skills and Experience
* Extensive practical knowledge of multiple analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, ICP-MS, and pharmacopeial methodologies.
* Working knowledge of Empower and preferable with knowledge on any other related chromatography software systems.
* Excellent attention to detail, including checking of analytical data, authoring, and reviewing of SOPs, Test Methods, Protocols, and Reports.
* Effective communication skills, including written and presentational.
* Able to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to use own initiative when working on individual projects.
* Develops and maintains positive working relationships with colleagues and departments.
Education and Licenses
* Scientific based degree with a minimum of two years laboratory experience.
* Enthusiasm about learning new analytical techniques.
