Performing electronic test of high voltage power supplies, and developing the product to meet project schedules and performance standards for NPI. Acting as a team leader, providing direction/priorities and training/development of NPI test technicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Possesses advanced knowledge of circuitry and troubleshooting that could be moderate to complex in nature.
2. Ability to fault find down to component level and contribute towards design development improvements.
3. Uses specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
4. Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
5. May aid with training other AE global site employees in established processes or function as technical interface. Travel may be required.
6. Acts as the primary point-of-contact and knowledge-holder / subject-matter expert for a work cell, team, or area.
7. Establishes and directs priorities for the team working with NPI build Lead and NPI Manager.
8. Owns the Training and development of NPI Test Technicians.
9. Organizes and executes schedules and daily work assignments as needed; drives teammates to hit established goals. This may entail approval of overtime.
10. Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner and works under limited supervision.
11. Is accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth of the relevant area.
12. Helps eliminate obstacles for the work cell / team by tracking, supporting, and giving feedback through to final resolution.
13. Coordinates and owns the Test Daily Management process.
14. Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost reductions.
15. Ensures all quality processes and procedures are followed per department FP’s.
16. Ensures a safe working environment for team; resolves or escalates potential hazards.
17. Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ability to apply manufacturing processes.
18. Working knowledge of basic PC programs. (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.)
19. Thorough understanding of production/service procedures, ESD, 5S, and SAP
20. Certified in all required production/service training per FP209.
21. Desirable: solid understanding of Materials/Logistics procedures, ECO process, and First Article process.
QUALIFICATIONS
22. Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
23. Proven ability and experience leading a team and maintain flexibility.
24. Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
25. Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word and Outlook.
26. Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
27. Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
28. Assists in designing, developing and implementing new test fixturing.
29. Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
30. HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
