Description We have an opportunity for a legal administration to provide administrative support to lawyers on the legal team. The role requires experience in a case management system, preparing court bundles, and other general administrative duties. The candidate must have advanced ICT skills and the aptitude to learn quickly and thrive in a busy work environment. Responsibilities To work under the instruction of a Solicitor/Barrister/Legal Practitioner on any aspect of the case relating to the gathering of evidence. To thoroughly understand and apply the knowledge to comply with Practice Direction 27A (Family Procedure Rules 2010) with court bundles. Qualification – Essential GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. NVQ Level 3 - Business Administration or RSA II typing or demonstrable equivalent Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting. Produce and maintain bundles containing highly confidential sensitive information. Analyse documents for inclusion in the bundle and identify relevant sections. Strong Numeracy, literacy and Communication Skills. Proven ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm. Multi-tasking skills and a flexible approach to changing priorities are essential job requirements. Able to work "on" at short notice to meet Court deadlines in emergencies. It is crucial to make crucial decisions on all aspects of work and have a broad understanding of relevant operational requirements. Create and maintain bundle spreadsheets reflecting court directions to ensure only evidence directed is included in bundles. Monitor the accuracy of the Bundle Logs regarding bundle location to comply with information security and prepare the final bundle for archiving. Recent administrative work experience in an office environment dealing with correspondence, filing, preparing documents and using IT systems. Proven ability to undertake administrative work and maintain appropriate electronic records. Experience in assisting other team members with electronic filing as required. Good experience in taking notes at hearings and conferences with Counsel. Able to keep current with new and proposed legislation and new cases. Experience in keeping the Senior staff informed of any critical issues that may affect the satisfactory progress of the cases. Good presentation skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally Good knowledge of the Data Protection and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
