Key Responsibilities:
Context for the Role
World Vision UK has identified corporate partnerships as a crucial avenue for increasing our impact on the world’s most marginalised children. By leveraging the resources, influence, and expertise of the private sector, we aim to create transformational partnerships that drive sustainable change.
This role is central to our ambition to grow income through new business development. With a focus on innovation and creativity, it addresses the need to engage businesses in impactful ways, even as we operate within a competitive fundraising landscape and a relatively low brand awareness compared to other international child-focused organisations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and securing partnerships that deliver mutual benefit and lasting impact.
About You
You are a motivated and resourceful individual with experience in corporate fundraising. You thrive in securing new income-generating opportunities and have a proactive, income-focused mindset. You’re excited by the challenge of cultivating partnerships and driving results.
You bring creativity and determination to your work, using innovative approaches to engage businesses, even in a competitive market or with limited resources. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, using a startup mentality to independently develop and implement creative engagement tactics and partnership strategies.
You have experience of identifying, researching, and approaching prospects, successfully leading them through the cultivation cycle to secure financial commitments. You possess strong communication and relationship-building skills and can confidently present proposals, pitches, and ideas to decision-makers, building trust and mutual understanding. You excel at balancing competing priorities, managing a pipeline of prospects, and preparing well-researched proposals, budgets, and contracts.
While experience in international development or humanitarian work is a bonus, you are eager to learn about the intersection between corporate CSR/ESG priorities and international charity.
You are looking for a role where you can grow as a corporate fundraiser, bringing enthusiasm, drive, and a long-term approach to developing sustainable partnerships that deliver mutual benefits for World Vision and its corporate partners.
