The Internal Controls Analyst is responsible for the monitoring, testing and continuous improvement of the controls across finance. Additionally, this role will work directly with the Internal Controls Manager in ensuring the long-term Internal Controls plan is implemented in line with timelines and to a high standard.
This role will provide you the opportunity to play a key role in driving the improvements to the Internal Control environment and play a dynamic part in finance transformation projects.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Working with management to ensure controls are designed appropriately and emerging risks are mitigated.
2. Key member of project teams to ensure controls are appropriately considered and built into any new process or change area.
3. Lead remediation alignment and implementation of external audit control points.
4. Become a go-to partner for the business and help build the Internal Control functions brand across the business.
5. Work with Internal Audit to ensure alignment on work and audit recommendations.
6. Being a key partner to management to help resolve issues as they arise.
7. Support investigations that have system related control impacts (i.e., Fraud).
8. Support business process control work as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant.
2. Experience and understanding of design and implementation of internal controls within an international environment.
3. An understanding of the internal control priorities from a PE perspective and ability to quantify, communicate and manage internal control risks.
4. Ability to balance the requirements from a control perspective and business needs.
5. Willingness to learn and can-do attitude.
6. Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment – resilience and flexibility is key.
7. Strong attention to detail.
8. Ability to quickly and effectively build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
