Job summary The Radiology Department seeks an enthusiastic radiographer, who is keen to develop their careers and step into a leadership role within a supportive environment. The Radiology service at CDDFT provides a wide range of modalities and opportunities to develop your clinical skills and knowledge. We offer the opportunity to become proficient in Fluoroscopy and Cath Labs as well as rotation through CT and MRI. We have heavily invested in Radiology equipment across the trust with the latest diagnostic imaging equipment allowing us to provide high quality care to all of our patients. We offer a fast paced primary imaging service to a busy Emergency Department as well as to local GPs, wards and out-patients. We perform a high number of imaging examinations in our innovative new theatres, including trauma, elective surgery and urology as well as interventional work in fluoroscopy and CT alongside busy MRI & US departments. You will take part in a shift rota covering this service delivering care to our local population 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will show leadership qualities required to support and guide a team of staff with a variety of skills and experience. The post holder will be an integral part of the Radiology team, working closely with the Senior Radiographers to ensure smooth delivery of care for the patients, whilst maintaining Radiographic standards and promoting good practice to Radiographers & Radiology students. The staff member will be responsible for promoting the continuing professional development of other Radiology personnel. To adhere to good practices of Radiographic technique and abide by the acknowledged safe practices of radiation protection standards.
