About the team
Our Product and Technology teams are the Worldpayers behind the game-changing products and digital experiences we're best known for. Striving for better, they never stand still - delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.
The New Acquiring Platform (NAP) DevOps team has the main goal of enabling a reliable, repeatable, traceable and fast route of our numerous assets to production. We empower development teams and promote DevOps practices across the NAP programme and collaborate with teams from across the organisation to help achieve our shared goals.
What you'll own
* You will be responsible for implementing and expanding DevOps practices to increase flow, feedback, evolution, and maintenance of CI/CD solutions - which includes ownership, improvement, design, development and maintenance of all supporting DevOps toolsets, including CI/CD pipelines and the NAP deployment framework.
* You'll be involved in the ongoing transition of the DevOps tools and NAP components from on-premise to cloud (AWS), with a focus on compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability and security.
* You will be responsible for building, implementing and maintaining repeatable deployment processes for all environments and tooling on premise and within AWS.
* You will be working closely with other value streams to identify areas of improvement, where cloud technology can be used to solve complex problems.
* You'll be occasionally required to provide on-call support for DevOps tooling during releases that take place outside working hours.

What you bring
* Extensive experience with Jenkins CI/CD and the utilisation of shared libraries to build pipelines as code.
* Extensive hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and industry standard deployment and provisioning tools such as Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, as well as solid Python and Bash scripting skills.
* Good experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ideally with some or all of the following services: VPC, EC2, ELB, Auto-Scaling (including Groups), S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, SQS, MSK, DynamoDB, IAM.
* Good experience in developing, testing and deploying AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
* Strong understanding around CI/CD practices, principles and fundamentals.
* Good experience with GitHub Actions.
* Good experience with No SQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
* An everything-as-code mindset.
