Role: Press Officer (6 month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: E1, London
Reports to: Junior Press Manager
The Press Officer will join a fast-paced and creative team and work closely with the Junior Press Manager and Press Assistant to ensure the delivery of the global communications and VIP strategy. This role will support the team in developing top tier editorial coverage and VIP placements. The person in this role will collaborate closely with other business departments and interact with the brand’s founder and Creative Director.
Job Overview:
* Supporting the brand’s global press and VIP strategy, the Press Officer will be responsible for overseeing the Press Assistant and Press Intern with global sample coordination.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key media, editors, and stylists. Supporting the Junior Press Manager with proactively pitching stories to secure editorial coverage across print and digital platforms to drive high quality coverage in key markets.
* Overseeing international press agencies.
* Monitoring press coverage and compiling monthly press reports.
* Supporting the team with bi-annual fashion shows, press days, events, and photoshoots.
* Identifying emerging VIPs and KOLs. Supporting the Junior Press Manager with VIP dressing and custom projects.
* Working with the external archive to manage previous collections.
* Managing and guiding the Press Assistant and Press Intern.
The ideal candidate:
* Degree in a related discipline (PR / Communications), preferred but not required.
* 3+ years previous work experience in a fast-paced press office.
* Experienced in software such as Fashion GPS / Launch metrics and Microsoft Office.
* Proactive with a high level of attention to detail, a creative eye, and accuracy.
* Highly organised with excellent work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
