If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you Fletcher ward is an 18 bedded inpatient acute ward, which provides a safe environment for assessment and treatment of service users that are aged 18 and above with a mental health condition. The staff team on Fletcher ward consist of registered nurses, consultant psychiatrists, health care assistants, occupational therapists, activity co-coordinators, admin and a psychologist. Patients admitted to Fletcher ward may be experiencing acute distress and present with a significant deterioration in mental state, risk of self-harm, self-neglect, or harm to others. We also support patients that may be admitted informally or detained under a section of the mental health act. Due to the busy and fast-paced nature of the ward, this role would be best suited to applicants who have previous experience working within a Mental Health ward environment.
