Incubated within SIB, Hitachi ZeroCarbon (HZC) is Hitachi’s first social innovation scale-up business, launched in 2021. HZC provides solutions for commercial vehicle and public transport fleets across Europe, using a wider perspective on energy opportunities to improve fleet total cost of ownership and facilitate the transition to zero carbon.
What you’ll be doing
This role will be within the HZC Product and Technology team based at our London office. Reporting to our Product Lead, you will take responsibility for managing the parts of the product roadmap specifically related to battery management and optimisation, and fleet management solutions.
This is a varied role that will provide the opportunity to engage with stakeholders across the business, its customers and partners. Activities will include:
1. Supporting the definition of our overarching product vision and articulating our value propositions
2. Defining the product backlog, working with sales and customer stakeholders
3. Participating in customer proposals and presentations
4. Working with the development teams as part of the delivery of new functionality against the roadmap
5. Supporting our marketing teams in the generation of product documentation and sales collateral
6. Participating in bid-teams when generating sales proposals
What you bring to the team
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:
1. Engineering, physics, computer science degree or equivalent experience
2. Commercial experience working in a technical product management role or as a business analyst
3. Experience working on data focused projects and ability to communicate principles around collecting, storing, sharing & analysing data is a plus
4. Experience interacting directly with development and delivery teams
5. Excellent MS Office skills, experience with other business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) an advantage
6. Technical knowledge of the EV ecosystem, mobility and battery technology a strong plus
7. Strong interest in sustainability, energy and transport
