Description
This is a new and exciting full-time role responsible for leading and co-ordinating the operational delivery of an excellent and professional Immigration Compliance and Advice Service at Bath Spa University.
About the Role
As directed by the Head of Immigration Compliance and Advice, you will lead and co-ordinate the day-to-day immigration compliance related tasks required to mitigate risk and ensure Bath Spa University remains compliant as a Student and Skilled Worker Sponsor, protecting and maintaining the reputation and recruitment potential of the university.
You will also lead the operational delivery of the Immigration Compliance and Advice Service to ensure that current and prospective international students can access and benefit from the academic and broader student experience through the provision of pro-active immigration advice and support. A key function of the role will be to coordinate resources within the team according to demand during peak periods and across all teaching sites, including Bath Spa University London.
About You
The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable experience in navigating complex UKVI immigration rules and delivering a high-performing immigration compliance and advice function, preferably within a Higher Education environment. The candidate will also have demonstrable experience of line management.
The post-holder will primarily be based in Bath; however, they will be expected to respond flexibly to periods of annual leave, sick leave, and peak workload, which will require frequent travel to and working from the campus based in Hackney, London, UK.
Additional Information
Due to Home Office regulations on handling biometric residence permits (BRPs), only UK and Irish nationals or those with indefinite leave to remain or settled status in the UK are eligible for this post.
