Job Description
Do you have previous experience within a Head Office retail merchandising department?
Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills?
Are you analytical with excellent IT skills?
Are you organised and able to work on multiple projects at any one time?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to assist and support the Merchandiser with the effective delivery of the department's strategy and also for the planning, controlling and monitoring of purchases. Ensuring that the correct processes and procedures are followed for the intake and distribution of merchandise for the purpose of maximising sales and profit in the assigned departments, you will be responsible for delivering agreed business, revenue and margin objectives in your area of responsibility.
About you
* Considerable experience within a retail merchandising, allocator or retail analyst arena
* An excellent problem solver
* Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
* Strong IT skills – especially Excel
* Exceptional communication skills and comfortable liaising with all levels within a business
* A positive, “can-do” attitude
