Job Description
We are seeking an immediately available, experienced Procurement Professional to join our client's Edinburgh-based team.
They are a leading investor, developer, and operator of renewable energy projects, committed to driving the UK and Europe towards net zero.
This role is an initial 6-month contract and is OUTSIDE IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead procurement services for corporate goods and services, ensuring effective delivery.
* Manage complex, high-risk, high-value procurement projects.
* Ensure compliance with the company’s Procurement Policy, collaborating with various teams to implement and maintain it.
* Oversee reporting and reconciliation processes for the full procurement cycle.
* Maintain and update procurement trackers and registers and manage the Tender Management System.
* Administer the Contract Management System (CMS), ensuring alignment with the P2P system.
* Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring their ongoing support and performance.
Criteria:
* Proven experience in procuring general/corporate goods & services (non-engineering).
* Experience in renewables sectors.
* Undergraduate/Postgraduate qualification in business, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
* Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tendering, and P2P systems.
* Proficient in MS Excel for data management and reporting.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship management.
* Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
* Leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
