Then read on Our small, intimate and knowledgeable Legal Team is looking for an enthusiastic, engaging and knowledgeable Senior Legal Counsel to join them. Led by our well regarded Head of Legal and supporting the Regional Head of Legal you will be safeguarding the Company’s and Groups financial and reputational performance by mitigating risks through ensuring that the UK Service & Insurance business operates, and provide compliant products and services in accordance with our Legal & Regulatory requirements. You will ensure that any services provided by its suppliers and or business partners that we have committed to provide to our end customers are clearly documented. You will act as a trusted business partner to internal local and Group stakeholders and offer well thought out and clear legal advice relating to the UK & Ireland Business Unit and wider regional and group projects/teams when required. You will also support the UK & Republic of Ireland entities with regard to legal, regulatory and internal Allianz standards and rules to support the Solvency II framework and ethical working practices. What we’re looking for: • You will be a qualified solicitor/barrister with strong experience in a UK regulatory environment • You must have strong knowledge of ICOBS and IDD relevant to the UK Business including the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulatory Authority Rulebooks • You will have experience in advising on legally compliant arrangements in the area of Insurance Distribution including but not limited to: Appointed Representatives, Exempt Ancillary Insurance, Broker Terms of Business, advising on Consumer Retail, Insurance Products, ability to advise on new/complex distribution strategies • You must also have experience of Financial Crime Competition, Anti- Trust Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection from a legal perspective Qualifications : • Undergraduate law degree or equivalent • Legal Training e.g. Legal Practice course • Qualified solicitor or barrister (England and Wales Hours : Thirty-five hours a week. However, flexibility will be required in line with the needs of the business.
