Your new role An exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing team as a Senior Manufacturing Section Manager – Commercial Manufacturing. This is a maternity cover contract. It is anticipated that the role will be effective from 1 st July 2025 till 1 st July 2026. This is a key role overseeing multiple teams responsible to produce a key medication, with accountability for ensuring first-time quality, on-time delivery, and regulatory compliance. Provide continued vision and strategic leadership to the commercial manufacturing teams. Formulate realistic solutions to extremely complex problems. Analyse operational and technical data to communicate solutions effectively to senior and executive management. Coach Section Managers and Leads to ensure succession plan resilience. Manage change processes, including shift patterns, scaling operations, lifecycle management, and ad-hoc events. Ensure accountability for quality, compliance, and cleanroom standards, along with overseeing the team’s completion of quality-related documentation. Responsible for recruitment, training, development and timely performance management of all direct and indirect reports. Consistently influence and advocate high levels of GMP and GDP compliance, clean room behaviours and professionalism. About you Prove leadership experience in a GMP manufacturing environment. Background in stem cells, cellular therapies, or cell banking – either through education or hands-on experience. Strong understanding of GMP cleanroom and sterile manufacturing practices. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and departments. Highly organised with the flexibility to manage both short-term priorities and long-term projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and productive team environment. Exceptional report writing and documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong overall computer literacy. Quick to learn and eager to share knowledge to support team development. Capable of meeting tight deadlines while handling unexpected challenges. Adaptable and commi8ted, with a willingness to go above and beyond when business needs arise.
