Job Title: Warehouse Operative Job Type: Permanent or Temporary to Permanent optional Job Reward: £25,500 – to £26,500 plus Overtime and Package Dayshift working NO NIGHTS Location: Wetherby Knaresborough border, accessible from Leeds and easy M1 access Client: Market leading manufacturing and distributor in the UK You will work in a Warehouse serving a fast-paced manufacturing factory Warehouse Operative - Role and Responsibilities About The Role Warehouse Operative Dayshift We are looking for warehouse experience moving stock and loading wagons, yard environment Unloading wagons of product and performing basic quality checks Loading wagons with finished goods for distribution from site Performing stock rotation Ensuring warehouse is clean and tidy – 5s principles Building and wrapping pallets Good Inwards Receiving Unloading orders on and off vehicles Checking order quantities Kanban System Inputting data onto ERP Cycle Counts Picking and Packing Safe and coordinated storage of all materials Maintaining accurate picking/put away of materials to aid Cycle Counting You will comply with health and safety regulations within the team and the environment, ensuring safe practice regarding use of equipment (i.e., machinery, lift truck, manual handling equipment etc) To ensure all workstations are fully operational in terms of packaging materials To promote the quality of customer orders picked and packed through the Distribution department adhering to, complying with SOP’s Working Environment: Warehouse Operative Dayshift Open plan warehouse / factory building and yard area All necessary personal protective equipment must be worn along with the use of the correct manual handling equipment and operating techniques Experience of working within a stores, yard or warehouse environment, inbound or outbound Confidence and communication skills to share expertise to help others Good organisational skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative but also be part of a proactive team Attention to detail Able to work under pressure Ability to lift and move products and consumables Knowledge of stock control and replenishment systems What’s on Offer - Warehouse Operative Dayshift In return for your hard work, we will offer you: • Six weeks holiday (including bank holidays) • Store discounts • Career progression and development opportunities • Subsidised staff canteen •Free parking •Market leading pension •Healthcare/Well-being benefits •Long Service Awards •Enhanced Family/maternity/parental leave Candidates who are currently Senior Operator, Yard Operator, Warehouse operator, warehouse supervisor and any equivalent background will be suitable for the role.
