Carer / Personal Assistant wanted for little girl in Beverley.
Working Hours
1. Working hours are Mondays 7am - 8.30am term time only.
2. You can choose to apply for either Mondays, Saturdays, or both shifts.
3. Option to work more hours, including during school holidays, evenings, and weekends if desired.
Responsibilities
Are you reliable and organised with experience looking after young children? Are you physically able to undertake manual tasks, e.g., dressing a small girl and generally helping her get ready for school and/or socialising on Saturdays?
Job Enjoyment
Would you enjoy helping parents with personal care for a gentle, sweet-natured, happy 11-year-old girl with a learning disability in a pleasant, fully adapted family home?
Compensation
Rate of pay is £13.50 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks paid holidays. There will be opportunities to work more hours from time to time at your convenience.
Requirements
DBS/Reference checks will be required (costs paid by the Council). The family is looking for a female worker due to the daughter's personal care needs and has a non-smoking household.
About the Service
The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers, and personal assistants.
Genuine Occupational Requirement
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
Travel
Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required; applicants must be able to transport themselves.
DBS/Medical Check
