The Ophthalmology team are a friendly, dedicated and forward thinking team within the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. Main duties of the job The candidate will be able to participate in departmental teaching and study opportunities and will be able to attend recognised courses where they do not compromise service delivery. The unit is supported by a full Orthoptic department and a highly trained nursing team, providing a glaucoma service, RMD service and one-stop cataract assessment. The Ophthalmology Department is primarily based at the Treatment Centre for both out patients and day case procedures. In patient work and paediatrics is carried out in the main hospital as well as ophthalmology.
