Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Research Fellow at Aberdeen Centre for Reproductive Medicine (also known as Aberdeen Fertility Centre) in the Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
This unique post mixes clinical responsibilities and research opportunities, and is based in one of the most progressive Fertility Centres in the UK. Clinical responsibilities principally comprise the management of patients undergoing fertility investigations and treatment. Specific training in all aspects of fertility treatments will be given (i.e. ovarian stimulation, ultrasound, HyCoSy, oocyte recovery, basic embryology, cryobiology, surgical sperm retrieval, gamete donation). The Centre provides a seven day a week service and you will share these duties with your colleagues. As part of this post you would be expected to complete BFS/RCOG special skills training in ART.
The post is for 3 years. It is suited to individuals who have completed MRCOG and have an interest in reproductive medicine. Evidence of a commitment to research is essential. The post holder will be granted an honorary university fellow contract.
This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
Please note: this post may close early due to volume of applications.
