What is the Role?
You'll be supporting four individuals with learning disabilities in their home, helping them live independently, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences. No two days are the same! You might spend one day going for a scenic countryside walk, dancing to music, or enjoying a movie night, and the next helping with budgeting, daily tasks, or social activities. You'll be part of a positive and encouraging team that follows the "do with, not do for" approach-empowering the individuals we support to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing companionship and emotional support Assisting with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, household tasks) Administering medication safely Encouraging hobbies and activities (hiking, music, film nights, and more!) Supporting social inclusion-helping individuals access community groups and visit loved ones Helping with budgeting and finances Encouraging independent living and promoting personal growth Ensuring accurate and high-quality record-keeping Being a team player and bringing new ideas to improve the service
