We are looking for a professional, caring and reliable person with a resilient, detailed approach to work part time in our busy school office at St Martin’s Schools. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming, caring and helpful link between the school and all stakeholders as well as providing administrative support. The role's main duties involve taking responsibility for pupils' medical and dietary requirements and supporting our vulnerable families.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a working knowledge of all areas of school life to provide help and advice to all stakeholders.
* Undertake reception duties, answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors. Resolve reception/visitor matters.
* Receive incoming telephone calls and emails and deal with enquiries, as necessary.
* Provide first aid as required, maintaining correct records and liaising with parents/carers and staff.
* Support pupils with medical needs/conditions. Responsible for maintaining correct records including individual healthcare plans (IHP) and undergoing specific training where required.
* Gather and maintain pupil dietary and medical information and ensure that teachers, support, and kitchen staff are aware of pupils' individual needs.
* Action and implement Free School Meal (FSM) checks.
* Take responsibility for pupil school lunches, liaising with parents/carers and kitchen staff.
* Take responsibility for CoolMilk and KS1 free fruit supplier.
For this role you will need
* Minimum 3 GCSEs, including English and maths, at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level (Required)
* Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing (Required)
* Competent in a range of IT tools (Required)
* Ability to administer first aid and medical support/procedures (Required)
* Experience working within an education setting (Highly Desirable)
* Up to date First Aid Training (Highly Desirable)
* School based references from the last 2 years (Desirable)
* A DBS on the update service or happy to complete a new one (Required)

Hours
* The role is term-time only (39 weeks per year), 21 hours per week
* Current work pattern: Mon and Thurs 08:30 – 15:45, Tues and Wed 08:30 – 12:15
