FM Hard Services Manager - Central Buildings

FM HARD SERVICES MANAGER - CENTRAL BUILDINGS | Circa £68,500 per annum plus 18% Bonus
In this role, you will lead and inspire a department of technically competent operatives to achieve success in maintaining our village forest, central buildings and infrastructure to the highest possible standards. You will ensure all our assets are kept in a healthy and functional condition, utilising the most efficient methods of maintenance.
You will facilitate and develop a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will positively engage with and support all key stakeholders who expect a high level of service from your team. Using your influencing skills, you will encourage collaborative working practises between your team and other departments.
This role will be required to participate in the out of hours Duty Management rota, so will involve working evenings, weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
1. HNC in construction, engineering or formal Facilities Management qualifications
2. Proven experience in managing a dynamic workload, planning and prioritising tasks
3. Use of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems
4. Experience in managing service contracts, within hard FM organisations
5. Proven ability to manage a technical workforce team and office administration teams
6. Demonstrate a high technical knowledge of HVAC systems
7. Experience in Fire Safety Standards & Risk Management
Desirable requirements:
8. NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management or equivalent qualification
9. Familiar with procurement techniques and associated forms of contracts
