Job summary As part of the Hospice Multi-Disciplinary Team the Occupational Therapy service delivers high quality interventions for palliative patients across all clinical areas of practice with a focus on palliative rehabilitation, self-management and independence. The Hospice Occupational Therapy team alongside the Physiotherapy team are leaders in the development and promotion of the Rehabilitative Palliative Care model as well as the on-going work to establish the Living Well service. Main duties of the job This role will work closely with the Therapies Lead to develop and deliver the Occupational Therapy service across all areas of hospice clinical practice (Inpatient Unit, Community Services, Living Well). The Therapies Team sits within Clinical Services and reports directly to the Associate Director for Clinical Services. This is a diverse role and involves working across all clinical areas of the hospice including the inpatient unit, the community and our Living Well service. We are looking for a self-motivated and positive clinician who is passionate about developing themselves as an Occupational Therapist. There is a strong focus on promoting the Rehabilitative Palliative Care agenda to support our patients to keep doing what is most important to them. There is scope for this role to be suitable for a newly qualified Occupational Therapist.
