We are seeking a dedicated and skilled tutor to support pupils in English and Maths. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who face challenges in building new relationships and who have significant gaps in their education. A lot of the tuition requests we get through from our Surrey Local Authority teams will be on a one to one basis and in the students home. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored, one-on-one support to students in English and Maths, focusing on foundational skills. Develop a compassionate, understanding approach to help students feel confident and motivated to learn. Build positive, trusting relationships with students, encouraging their social and academic growth. Create individualized lesson plans to address knowledge gaps and support the student’s specific needs. Key Qualities: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching. Experience working with pupils who struggle to build relationships and have faced disruptions in their education. Strong communication skills and an ability to engage students in a supportive, non-judgmental way. Experience in working with children or young people who have experienced educational setbacks.
