Personal Assistant required for a kind 12-year-old boy who lives in Camelford.
He has a learning delay and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his confidence and life skills. He loves walks in the woods, go carting, cooking, and Lego. He also enjoys movies and gaming.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community and with his family.
Requirements:
Car driver preferred but not essential.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
Rate of Pay: £12 per hour.
Up to 4 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible.
Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
