Job overview
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We have 20 critical care beds and can offer you broad experience in caring for critically ill adults in an innovative, challenging and aspirational workplace.
We are committed to advancing nursing practice and our Clinical Nurse Educator provides in-house training and support for clinical and professional development.

Main duties of the job
1. To manage the ventilated, haemofiltered, and cardiovascularly compromised patient initially under supervision, whilst developing professionally, utilising competency based Knowledge & Skills Framework (KSF) leading to autonomy of care when proficient, in conjunction with further development of management skills.
2. Support Nurse Team Leaders and Nurse Team Managers in the training and development of junior staff.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in the management of acutely unwell / deteriorating patients nursed outside the critical care setting, i.e. Recovery and Emergency Department.
4. Keep fully informed about changes in Critical Care, Outreach and update professional knowledge to meet the requirements for Revalidation.
5. Plan and deliver patient care to the highest standard utilising a holistic research-based model and including patient and relative involvement.
