• The post holder will independently manage and treat a caseload with a focus on children with Autism, with guidance from a registered Occupational Therapist. This includes developing and implementing treatment programmes, independently writing summaries and records as required in discussion with a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• The post holder will use their initiative and clinical experience to adapt treatment programs and create therapy resources, in response to changes in the child’s physical / sensory motor skill, environment, school requirements or parental expectations.
• The post holder will carry out assessments of children’s home environment and equipment needs with guidance from a registered occupational therapist. This will includes completing necessary paperwork to order non-complex equipment and non-complex adaptations.
• The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will have a good understanding of the OT role.
