At Leeds Trinity University, we aspire to make a difference to the people, the professions and the places that we serve, and we are looking for enthusiastic users of health and social care services to join our university community.
We are creating an exciting new forum for people who use health and social care services and carers, to contribute to our nursing programmes in adult, child, mental health and learning disability nursing, social work programme and to contribute to the development of the allied health professions programmes.
We are looking for people who use health and social care services, and carers, to join us and help produce a dynamic course leading to the development of caring and proficient registered nurses, social workers and allied health professionals. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced registered professionals who also teach at Leeds Trinity University. Activities will include contributing to recruitment of future students both at open day activities and during interviews, participating in teaching, both simulated clinical practice and in the classroom, and contributing to quality processes, such as course approvals and quality monitoring meetings. No previous experience is necessary, only your real-world experiences of health and social care that you would be happy to share with our students, and your personal experience of being a person within our community. Relevant training and development will be given, and you will be appropriately reimbursed.
We aim to have a group of people that use services, and carers that represent the community in which we live and work. Hours of work will be allocated on a casual basis and in accordance with the requirements of the service user/carer and the requirements of the programme.
