Role Overview:
The Management Accountant will support their designated business areas with preparation, development and analysis of key financial information to ensure that management can make well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability.
As a member of the Finance Business Partnering team, the post-holder will have the opportunity to learn and develop across a number of skills as well as supporting across other business areas.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
1. Management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
2. Preparation of accurate and timely monthly Profit and Loss management accounts and financial reports
3. Supporting the Finance Business Partner with monthly close meetings and applicable analysis and context required, providing meaningful analysis and insight
4. Developing and supporting on financial systems and models as required, to support decision-making across the business, investment appraisals and long-term planning
5. Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliation accounts and resolution of any unreconciled amounts and alignment to best practice
6. Preparation and supporting the forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ensuring business unit strategy needs are followed
Your previous experience is likely to include….
1. Working within the finance department of a commercial organisation
2. Financial Reporting and Analysis
3. Utilising advanced excel skills for data analysis, financial modelling and reporting
4. Budgeting and Forecasting
