We are looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse to join our well-established team. Swale Ward is a 15-bedded Personality Disorder unit.
The post offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience of specialist forensic pathways all under one roof.
The team is forward-thinking and promotes a psychological and trauma-informed approach with a focus on a relational model of security. The post requires coverage of a range of shifts including long days, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
You will be involved in providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for the service users. You will work within the nursing team and closely with the MDT.
You will act as care coordinator to service users and be involved in MDTs, CPAs, and mental health tribunals.
You will administer prescribed medication and support patients in managing their mental and physical health conditions.

The service operates a shift model of long days and night shifts across a 7-day period.
