The Role: The Breakfast Chef shall assist in the daily operations of the kitchen area, focusing on breakfast service, and work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure all current health and safety guidelines are followed and high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained. Role Specification: Ensure buffet counter food is kept at a constant high standard. Ensure all food served in the restaurant is at the highest standard required. Ensure all related food hygiene regulations are followed by yourself and the kitchen team. Assist the Head Chef in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during dining periods. Collaborate on menu development, introducing new and exciting buffet dishes. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met, adhering to health regulations. Manage stock levels and inventory, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality from our suppliers. Monitor performance and ensure timely production during service hours. Provide excellent communication with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service. Personal Specification: Essentials Previous experience in a similar role at a high-end restaurant/ hotel. A passion for cooking. Experience with large volume covers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Committed to being part of a driven team that is aiming to achieve quality and high standards in the kitchen. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, pastry ingredients, and modern pastry trends Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment requiring long hours and the ability to stand for extended periods. Shift Patterns: 45 hours per week 5 days out of 7 per week – this includes weekends, holidays, and evenings.
