We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join a busy IT department on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a proactive and comprehensive support service to the business both on and offshore as there will be occasional overseas travel.
This role is office-based in Great Yarmouth and applicants must possess a UK passport or valid right to work in the UK documentation.
Your Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with IT team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
2. Fault finding diagnostic and repair of computers hardware and software either remotely or in person.
3. Support members of the IT team with escalations and training.
4. Provide IT support to all staff within the business (first and second line).
5. Escalate problems to the appropriate next level of support when necessary.
6. Be proactive in identifying potential technical and process improvements.
7. Provide out of hours adhoc support to the business.
8. Create and maintain documents related to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
9. Occasional travel for systems/software maintenance.
Your Qualities
1. Minimum 5 years' experience providing desktop support including knowledge of current operating systems.
2. A good understanding of networking equipment and standards.
3. A good understanding of Office 365, AzureAD, and Intune.
4. GCSE or A levels in English, Maths, Science, and IT.
5. Microsoft qualifications.
6. Full Clean Driving Licence.
7. Flexible and adaptable, to work in a changing environment and be open to new ideas.
8. Communicates in a clear, open, and honest way and encourages constructive feedback.
9. Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
10. Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
11. Team spirit and a collaborative work ethic.
