About HETA
Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe. As a leading provider of engineering training, we work with over 300 client companies, delivering Level 3 engineering apprenticeships and upskilling programs. Partnering with some of the biggest names in engineering and manufacturing, HETA plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth of engineering talent locally, regionally, and nationally.
The Role
Are you an experienced engineering professional ready for the next challenge in your career? HETA is seeking passionate industry specialists to join our team as Engineering Lecturers. In this role, you’ll deliver a range of engineering courses (Levels 3, 4, and 5) as part of our NC/HNC/HND programmes. The role is mainly classroom based teaching.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll teach a variety of subjects, including:
• Mechanical Principles
• Engineering Maths
• Engineering Science
• Engineering Design
• Fluid Mechanics
• CAD
• Health & Safety
• Organisational Efficiency & Lean Manufacturing
• Professional Engineering Management
Additionally, you’ll facilitate and assess Level 3 & 4 engineering projects and Level 5 research project work.
What We’re Looking for - the ideal candidate will bring a combination of industry expertise, technical proficiency, and a desire to inspire and empower learners. You should have:
• A degree in a relevant field
• Significant industry experience
• Strong technical and computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal abilities
• A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring
While teaching and assessor qualifications are desirable, they are not essential. Applicants without these qualifications will receive comprehensive training and support from the HETA Teaching & Learning team.
Location and Travel
The position would mainly be based at our Hull centre however a driving licence with access to own transport is required as travelling between centres is a possibility.
