A new instruction for within the public sector for an Interim Part Time Estates Management Officer, presented on a temporary basis for initially a couple of months.
Rate of Pay/Duration/Hours of Work:
1. Part time - 3 days per week
2. £18.45 - £24.63 per hour largely depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
During the first week, you would be expected to be in the office for the 3 days whilst undertaking induction and getting established in the role. Following this, it will be a mix of 1 day in the office (Thursdays) and 2 days visiting sites and working at home/office (flexible).
Knowledge and experience we are seeking:
1. Good basic education to GCSE standard or equivalent
2. Desirable: High education qualification, degree or RICS
3. Minimum 3 years recent and relevant experience in property management
4. Sound working knowledge of estate management practice
5. Working knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant legislation
6. Experience negotiating commercial landlord and tenant matters
7. Knowledge of all relevant health & safety and statutory compliance requirements
8. Good IT skills incl. MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
9. Desirable: Experience in a similar role
10. Experience in local government
11. Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation

4. Shorncliffe Pavilion - report to Corporate Leadership Team on management
5. Triennial - one lease or 4 new artworks
6. Various leases - Kiosks, Romney Mark Visitor Centre, Little Switzerland
7. Canterbury Archaeological Trust - may need new agreement
